Dear Parents and Caregivers

Congratulations to Alicia, Giada, Lucy, Charlotte K and Mary. The five girls celebrated the sacrament of First Communion on Sunday. We also congratulate both Justin and Alvin who will receive the sacrament this Sunday. Congratulations all. Those families interested in participating in the Sacramental Program should make contact with Mrs Vassallo-Wakefield to discuss and plan dates.

We wish our Festival Choir the very best for tonight as they join several other Catholic Schools as part of the 250 plus strong ensemble choir for the Catholic School’s Music Festival. The choir have been preparing since the beginning of the year, learning numerous songs. Ms Radman does a wonderful job every year in preparing our choir for this prestigious event. We are truly grateful for her continued efforts and enthusiasm.

Wishing all of our choir the very best to our ensemble;

Jett  Alicia  Sienna  Eliza  Sienna  Lachlan  Mimi  Jonah  Nevada  Maanan  Gabriel  Rina  Addison  Maxwell  Harrison  Lyla

I trust that everyone attending and participating will have a stellar evening at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Term 4 Uniform

As Term 3 concludes at the end of this week it will be time to put winter uniforms in mothballs until next year. All students are expected to wear full summer uniform in Term 4, please refer to the Uniform Policy here. We ask for your support to help us maintain a high standard of dress and ensure your child is wearing the correct summer or sports uniform on the appropriate day. If this is not possible for any reason on a particular day, please don’t hesitate to see your child’s teacher or write a note. Please be reminded that students are required to wear hats in when the UV is 3 or above, which will be every day in Term 4.

Parish Picnic

As part of the 150th Year Celebrations of our parish, there will be a Parish Picnic on Sunday 20 October. The day should be a wonderful family event. There will be an array of games, activities, stalls and dancing for all to join in. The gathering will be an opportunity for all within our parish to come together and celebrate being apart of our historically rich community.

NAPLAN Reports

Today individual NAPLAN results will be sent home with Year 3, 5 and 7 Students. More than a million Australian school-age children in Years 3, 5, 7 or 9 took the NAPLAN tests (the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) in May. In the NAPLAN report, your child's results will be shown against six levels of achievement. If you require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to see your child’s teacher, Grace Vassallo-Wakefield or myself. Students grow academically at different rates and often a conversation can be fruitful in understanding the results and whether there has been further growth since NAPLAN was completed in May.

End of Year Concert

Please reserve the date claimer of Monday 25 November as this year we will be embarking on something HUGE! This year we will have an End of Year Concert that all children will be participating in at the Norwood Town Hall. Stay tuned for more information

Have a wonderful break from the daily routines that school life presents over the next two weeks. From the look of the Term 4 calendar, the last term will be action packed.

God Bless
